We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent
• To service providers who assist us in operating our service (under strict confidentiality agreements)
• With advertising platforms such as LinkedIn: your name, company name, country and email address, so we can choose who sees GoodsCount ads there. Your email address is sent as a scrambled (hashed) code, and your inventory data is never shared with them
• With Meta, through the Meta Pixel described in section 7: a scrambled (hashed) copy of the email address and phone number you type into a form on the pages where it runs, so Meta can match your visit to a Meta account
• To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
• To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or the public
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with prior notice)

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Regular security assessments and updates
• Access controls and authentication mechanisms
• Secure data centers with physical security measures
• Employee training on data protection and privacy
• Incident response procedures for security breaches

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

• Account information: Until you delete your account or request deletion
• Inventory data: Until you delete the data or your account
• Usage logs: Typically 12-24 months for analytics and security purposes
• Support communications: Up to 3 years for quality assurance

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience:

• Essential cookies: Required for basic functionality
• Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how you use our service
• Security cookies: Protect against fraud and unauthorized access
• Advertising cookies: Set by advertising partners on the pages named below, so we can measure which campaigns bring people to GoodsCount and show relevant ads. They are never used inside your account dashboard, except during a live demo.

We use Google Tag Manager to load advertising and measurement tags, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Meta Pixel, on every page of our website outside your account dashboard (sign-in, sign-up and the plans page included), and on the sign-in, sign-up, company setup and live demo screens of our app when it runs in a web browser at goodscount.com/m. They are never loaded in your account dashboard, in the rest of that app, or in our iOS and Android apps. The one exception is a live demo: once you open one, these tags stay loaded while you use it, so they also see the demo's pages and what you do and type there, such as a name you give the demo company, items you add or an email address you enter to invite someone. These partners may set their own cookies. What we share with advertising platforms is listed in section 3, and outside a live demo it never includes your inventory data.

On those pages the Meta Pixel tells Meta which pages you view and what you do there: the buttons you click, and steps such as signing up, creating your company, starting a live demo, or starting a checkout or a trial. It also sends details of the page itself, such as its title and description. If you type your email address and phone number into a form on one of those pages, for example to sign in or sign up, it sends Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy so Meta can match your visit to a Meta account; it never sends them as you typed them. Meta's code also sends a copy of each of these events from your browser to the servers Meta uses for its Conversions API.

Third parties, including Meta and LinkedIn, may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and to target ads.

You can also block or delete these cookies in your browser's settings or with a content blocker; GoodsCount works without these tags.

If you reach GoodsCount by clicking an advertisement, we record the advertising platform's click identifier and campaign labels from that link and store them with your account, so we can tell which campaigns lead to real sign-ups. These identifiers are anonymous codes created by the advertising platform, and they are deleted along with the rest of your data if you delete your account.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

Our service may integrate with third-party services (such as cloud storage providers, analytics services, or payment processors). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
